History

Our vision for our history curriculum: 

• We want to create enthusiastic historians who are curious to learn about the past.  

• We want students to broaden their minds by learning about the experiences of different people, different places and different ideas.  

• We want students to explore historical evidence and key events, to investigate themes through history and to consider change, continuity, similarity and difference.  

• We want students to develop their literacy skills to enable them to progress and communicate their understanding of the past.  

• All of this understanding of the past should enable students to make sense of Britain, Europe and the world today.
